I promised my friend Stephy (Rhowan dammit) that when I learned how to draw a portrait, my first one would be of her character "Juhi" at Hih:TG, a HP-theme roleplaying game on LiveJournal for the HogwartsIsHome community.

So, here it is. B6 pencil in an 8x10 sketchbook. Juhi's PB is Laci Chabert, so she's the basis for this drawing as well. There are some visible errors I tried to correct in PS CS, such as the left jaw angle being too low and too far to the right, and her right ear being too high. Also, I used Photoshop to add some more depth to the shading. Unfortunately, because I went so heavy with the 6B pencil, I couldn't actually erase properly to fix it before scanning it in. Alas.

There is also a coloured version, done with the Brush tool set to "color" in PS CS in my sketches.
